Stable: SMath Studio 1.0.8348 (09 November 2022) - Messages
WroteThank you!
I just want to add that this small requirement to activate SMath Studio is a huge step to make this software much more powerful in the nearest future.
Why? I will try to explain: I've created a company in Russia and we have a brilliant team of 3 programmers (strong in IT, math, physics). We were able to monetize a project and working hard to make our first clients happy (licensing server, courses, planning and features for companies). We are going to finish our current activities in a Month or two and then will start improve SMath Studio itself: new graphs, stable Writer, performance of the numeric/symbolic calculation engines, new files format (modern and stable) and much more - that is what we will do in 2023.
Hope you'll enjoy the results.
I just asking to activate a program for free! Nothing more...
Best regards, Andrey Ivashov.
Good luck with the project. Do you intend on limiting what is available for free now as a business model? Or do you want to make money by improving further the premium features? Edit: found here: https://en.smath.com/forum/yaf_postst21719p3_Is-SMath-no-Longer-Freeware-for-Organizations--ANSWER--IT-IS.aspx
In any case, I'd be interested to know if it would be possible to purchase a premium feature abroad.

Even if you have "activated" SMath, when you save a sheet as an exe, and then print from the exe, you get the watermark.
I am new to Smath and learning the software. I would like to import Mathcad file (.xmcd file). When I opened it in Smath, the page went blank (nothing shown).
Would you provide some guidances.
Also, some users posted some Smath files. I tried to download them but somehow I was not able to click on the file name. Did I miss anything?
Thank you.
Basri
You also can drag .sm files from the file manager to an open SMath instance.
Or you use the file menu> open> navigate to your file.
Perhaps you tried all this already because it is standard windows program behaviour. So the problem might be something else.
Thank you for the response. I will try that.
Is there a way to import Mathcad file to SMath? I tried to open it in Smath, but it did not show anything (blank page in SMath).
Thank you again
Basri

Hi Basri. From the start of this thread, on Miscellaneous: "XMCD plug-in removed from the standard installer". So, you need to install it from the plugin manager.
Then can open some xmcd files, but from the File/Open dialog, not with double clicking in the file.
Best regards.
Alvaro.

Smath can import mathcad files natively.
And there are plugins which help to import xmcd files.
Yet Smath can import limited basic xmcd files.
Most mathcad files won't import to smath.
Anything complex (graphics, tables, etc) will fail.
Try to rewrite your .xmcd files in smath as .sm.
Regards

WroteNot trying to cause any fuss in here, but is there any prediction for an update of the program? I'm excited for the Writer, specially!

2) I will try to prioritize your request to release it next Month (can't guarantee, but will try).
Best regards.
I just tried to download the latest stable release and got a message of Page Not Found (HTTP 404).
See image below.
Any suggestion?
Thanks
Marco

Use this link.
Recent updates to website broke some pages.
/en-US/ part is somehow doubled in address.
Prevents to open correct download link.
@overlord link is working
Maybe you posted this elsewhere and I have not seen it.
The software has updated several times without a post here as was done in the past. I'm running stable 1.2.9018
The forum is also not allowing new registrations. So my guess is that it will die out or eventually be shut down, and we will have a good MathCAD competitor in all respects, including pricing.
Can't blame them though, lots of free users always demanding of support, and not willing to finance the project. I've been a paying user for some time now, and I don't mind continuing to pay. The program is good, and if more people paying means better development, then I'm happy with that outcome.

Changelogs: Latest version - All versions
API Documentation

This was made by Andrey because the SPAM amount in the past week, I think it will be allowed again in some day (it happened in the past months several times).
