Why this works when the line operator is removed as shown ?

Prestress Tension Loss Verification as per EN 1992-R1.sm (29 KiB) downloaded 58 time(s).

Hi Amarasekera. Although β.H2 has a numerical result, changing the value of h also changes the value of β.H2, which doesn't happen with β.H. This is because line causes β.H2 to be evaluated each time it is used, while the value in β.H remains constant and fixed.
In this way, vectorize is evaluated with the Min function for β.H2, and vectorize generally does not work well with matrix functions.
A version of β.H without matrix functions, with cases, for example, shouldn't have this problem. However, the correct approach is that if β.H is going to hold a constant value, there's no need for it to be evaluated every time it's used.
Best regards.
Alvaro.
