Numeric Up/Down boxes - Accelerator Keys - Messages

Greetings,
Your program is a dream come true.
Using the scroll wheel to change the values inside numeric up/down boxes is excellent for simulations.
However, it would be even better if we could use ctrl, alt and shift as accelerator keys for this action.
So, ordinary scrolling would change the number by the nominated amount.
Holding, say, ctrl would increase the increment/decrement by 10, alt might change it by 100, shift could alter it by 1000.
This would be even better for simulations.

This function explorer works nice.
Once setup complete, wheel mouse,
leave in auto-calculations mode.

That's a good idea, I think I can do it.
Slider is an alternative for sure, although might not fit fixed-step increments (you have to play a bit with the slider position in that case).

Just an idea. I know these suggestions might be difficult. As I've said before, even if no further changes were ever made to SMath Studio it would still be the best thing out there.

Indeed this is a good idea.
Just when you are out of ideas, a new one comes.
We have same-same key combinations for plot plugins.
If they work there, no reason no to work with Up/Down plugin.

Yes, it was my first idea too. I'll explore even the possibility to use these "secondary scroll" with a modifier (add/subtract as usual, multiply/divide as alternative)

Thanks Davide, That's an even better idea. Again, it would be good if the amounts for the increments and decrements invoked by the accelerator keys across the four primary operations could be definable. Of course, as you've indicated, this already seems to be on your mind. Sorry if I'm suggesting something that you were already going to do (that's annoying), it's just that I'm so eager to see the strongest implementation of this feature.
When it's available, this enhancement will make a massive difference for physics and engineering simulations.
