XY plot not plotting - Why are my XY plots empty - Messages
#1 Posted: 9/23/2024 4:44:36 PM
See the attached files. The MANHATTAN DATA.xlsx file is needed as input to LITTLE BOY LAMBDA AND ALPHA.sm.
The calculations seem to be working, but the XY plots are empty.
Have I missed something obvious?
File not found.File not found.
Thanks again.

Hello Reg,
It looks like the plots are empty because they are out of the display range set for the graph.
As it is the X values are actually between 8.75 and 8.95 but the display range is between 0.87 and 0.9.
All the best,
Gerry_Bush

Hi Reg. In addition to Gerry's observation, by double clicking on the XYPlot, in the "traces" menu, "Visible" is set to "False". The "Visible" property must be set to "True". I don't know how to configure the graph to only show shapes without the line that joins them, without modifying the argument with augment( alpha , "o" ) or something similar.
Best regards.
Alvaro.

Everyone,
Thanks much.
At 81, I am clearly losing my mind, or my eyesight...maybe both.
Attached is a pdf of my updated file. All is working now, thanks to you.
SMATH ALPHA MODEL.pdf (688 KiB) downloaded 60 time(s).
One last question. If I wanted to use the roots(2) function, do I need to cast everything in terms of the range variable k, or will roots(2) not work for multiple equations, each with a different k? Maybe in programming?
The MATHCAD 15 version gives slightly different results using the Find function. I have no idea which is more accurate.
MATHCAD ALPHA MODEL.pdf (299 KiB) downloaded 68 time(s).
Thanks again for all your help.
