Conversion between Cartesian coordinates and Geodetic coordinates
often found in geodesy and astronomy, for example, when
determination of location by GPS.
Converting geodetic coordinates to Cartesian coordinates is not difficult.
Converting Cartesian coordinates to geodetic coordinates is more difficult
because. the transformation formulas include the projection of a point onto
the surface of the Earth's ellipsoid.
