max and min - Messages

Hi,
I wonder, can max() and min() functions work on a list of arguments (like in Mathcad), not only on matrices?
max(1,2,3) is 3, and the numbers are just numbers, not a matrix. It was the same way in Mathcad some time ago, and I remember how it used to annoy me, and then they changed it to work on loose arguments- it's much easier to quickly fomulate what you need.

This is the biggest thing lacking that I have found (so far - newbie) for the work I do (Structural Engineering). Otherwise, thank you for a great program. MathCad has priced itself out of the market for small ( 1 or 2 person) companies.

This feature request is rather old, but I have an addition to it: min() and max() should also support systems.
(see this post: How-to-calculate-the-max-and-Min-Values-For-24,4 +/- 0.015
The support of systems should also be improved, but this is a different topic.
