Beam Analysis for 4 pins - Add another pin and get everything updated - Messages
#1 Posted: 9/18/2020 7:11:23 PM
Hello all,
The beam analysis sample is a great tool, but I don't quite follow the process to create another pin to have 4 pins.
I tried and then I got the error in R2 invalid support location.
Could somebody please help me to solve this?
Please find attached the file Beam+Analysis+Sample.sm (38 KiB) downloaded 79 time(s).
Thanks,
Paul

In the function requesting the reaction at R2 you have an error as to the location of the support. The location should be Lspan/3 and you have Lspan/2.

Thank you Engr,
Perhaps, do you know how to set the scale different in the shear and momentum diagrams?
The original units are kips and I want everything in lbf, so perhaps that's the issue with the scale.
Regards,
Paul
