Hello John.
Thanks for the package, quite a few don't work SS 6179.
I can't see the package in applied Engineering works ?
Maybe from some transmission coded maple ?
Take care ... Jean.

Thanks for checking them out Jean, I hope you found all the finance ones worked, although they didn't look like very challenging ones to me (but there again i am not into finance). genfunc package, i have asked for help (maple(example(genfunc)) way)) for each function within Genfunc package set, tried to replicate the function then go to Maple site, double check and get some extra words. Some functions I could not get to work so most of the time deleted them from my .sm file.
These are not exactly lined up with my applied maths work but i thought it would be good to explore each package in case some function is of use to the community. Also helps me to learn a little bit in some other field.
SS 6179, where do i find this reference?
Kind regards,
John

Hello John,
SS 6179 = Smath Studio version 6179 ... appVersion(4)≡"0.98.6179.21440"
Many features were added past my first SS 5346.
The most miraculous additions: range(2), range(3), vectorize operator.
I didn't check the financial package, I have the Mathcad extension.
Fresh but sunny day ... Cheers ... Jean.

Hi Jean,
my Smath is: "0.99.7822.147", build 7822.
Makes sense to use the Mathcad 11 Financial extension.
I have Mathcad 15, but the computer it is on is very tired, hence my interest in Smath.
I like learning about these features, thank you for letting me know.
I have checked all of genfunc against the Maple website functions. I have only kept those functions that I can get the same results.
Hope this is helpful to the community.

Kind Regards, and stay well

This Mathcad package is theoretical, not much use from data.
From data, you have to attempt fitting model function(s).
Over my last 21 years Mathcad, OriginLab ... Smath,
no data sets have resisted fitting sessions ... 100's.
White morning up here ! Take care ... Jean.
