Hello, Steve.
These .dll and .exe files is not native Windows files - these is IL (intermediate language) code files. To execute the program using files from archive on Linux machine you need to install Mono runtime first (http://mono-project.com/Main_Page). After that you need to start .exe file using Mono. That's it.
Best regards, Andrey Ivashov.

I have been successfully running Smath on my 64 bit OpenSuSe 11.2 system under mono and KDE 4.3.5. The only quirk that I have noticed is that the font size drop down menu is missing from the main toolbar. Does anyone know if this is an oversight or a limitation on Linux systems? Great software! I am extremely impressed with the robustness and capabilities (and the fact that it runs on Linux)!
