i have a problem with a system of equation in a vector form.

i have tried to solve a system like this (see the file attached system_roots).

the problem is that the sam system write in a classic way (see the fille attached - page n°2) gives no errors and is correctly solved.

the problem is that in the first case, the software gives an error of determinant of matrix = 0.

what's my error?

does anyone knows what's wrong?

I don't know if roots() can handle function expressions as unknowns (indexing is a function).
Maxima in principle can handle that but fails to correctly do the back-translation. If you just want nice formatting, you can use text indices, i.e. A.1 instead of A[1.
