Problem with online gallery in old SMath versions - Сообщения
#1 Опубликовано: 19.10.2023 23:14:51
Hi, today a student of mine experienced a problem when accessing the online gallery from a 7610 installation. I find the same behaviour in a 7632 installation
When switching to the online gallery in the extension manager, a division by 0 error appears and the program may freeze. The student lost his edits, because there was no way to get out of this except killing SMath via program manager. In an empty SMath instance, the error is recoverable, i.e. you can close the dialog and exit the extension manager.
With my 8348 activated version there is no problem.

Greetings,
There is a similiar thread that you may want to review:
https://en.smath.info/forum/yaf_postst22112_SMath-Studio-1-0-8151-Plugin-Update-Causes-Smath-to-Crash.aspx
On that note, I found the workarounds as such:
- If you populate your plugin folder with all required plugins (without downloading, but manually copy from your cpu to your student's cpu), there would be no need to access the online gallery and thus: no crash.
I ended up downloading all the plugins with the currently supported 'new' version, and then reinstalled my v0.99 version with all the plugins; I just deactivate those plugins I am not using (but I still have access to them if need be).
May this be of Good Help;
