Stop common units from switching after equal sign - Сообщения

Hello!
I have an equation that I am inputting mm^4 for moment of inertia, and the output of the equation is giving me m^4. How can I get it to display in mm^4 as that is the way the values are represented in textbooks?

Greetings;
SMath does not support "preferred" units, but the answer to your question is to click on your equation; after the '=' you will notice a black square; this black square is a placeholder where you can manually type your units, so:
200 mm = 0.2 m▮ -- > can be (typing 'mm into the ▮ placeholder):
200 mm = 200 mm
May this be of Good Help;

I have tried adding the mm after the equals sign, but then it shows as m^3 mm, instead of mm4. Do I need to type mm^4?

Greetings;
Correct, type into the placeholder the unit you wish to see it report in, so for you mm to the power of 4. SMath will attempt to report the result in those terms, but will make up the difference if the units don't 'match' (as was in your case)

If you do some searching on the forum, you will find some information regarding modifying the units setting file so that you can get the units you want. This is not an official feature, so do it at your own risk.
