Switching the evaluation optimization of symbolic functions cause the appearance of the definition - Сообщения

I noticed this issue: changing from symbolic to numeric the optimization of an evaluation, the evaluation change the status to definition (watch the attachment)...
Indeed happens only in certain cases, f.e. if you define [MATH]f(x):x[/MATH] and you evaluate f(±y), but not in others, like [MATH]f(x):3*sin(2*x)[/MATH]

Don't know if this is related...
Evaluating something simbolically, the numeric optimization then doesn't work (even using the eval() function)... moreover, and indipendently from this behavior, saving a numeric calculation when I open the file again the result is shown simbolically (2nd picture)
OS: Win7 x64; SMath Studio 0.96.4884
[EDIT] tried removing user-made plugins, uninstalling and installing again, disabling the firewall, nothing changes...
[EDIT(2)] this 2nd post is solved, seems that I've switched the global "fraction" option to "Auto" and this is the cause of this issue (many thanks to Martin
), however the 1st post it's not related with this...

I cannot confirm the observations.
Regardless of what evaluation was assigned initially (=, Ctrl-. or the corresponding side panel buttons), i can switch the optimization without problems (which surprised me, when I tried this just now, because I remember problems switching back to numeric if symbolic opt was initially assigned)
Also, I cannot reproduce the problem with lost opt setting upon save and re-opening the file.
(Same system)
Still this is one more example, where different operators would be fine.
symbolic eval: a->b
numeric eval: a=b
"none" eval: a==b (never mind, hardly ever used)
symbolic assignment a<-b
numeric assignment a:=b
"none" assignment a:==
I know, that has been proposed frequently. Apparently there are good reasons for not doing this. One danger might be a significant drop of traffic in the forum due to less confused users.
