I know this would be extremely difficult, but the only available alternative for the mobile (PocketCAS) performs indefinite integration in an awkard, unreliable manner... it'd be great if SMath could do it.

I guess this one is a quite a long way off though

Sorry to revive an old thread. I am looking to do indefinite integration (mostly use the portable version) and all I can find is the definite in the tool bar. Did I miss anything? Trying to solve a problem and the derivative of ln(x)=1/x, but I can not integrate 1/x to get ln(x) with SMath

for a indefinite integral type only the first and 2nd arguments for the int() function. Example:

int(1/x,x)

This produce a indefinite integral. If you type the 3rd and 4th arguments, you have the limits of integral.

Oscar

Oscar,
although int(1/x,x) displays correctly, it does not symbolically solve. Try it. It graphocally shows the integral with 1/x not the result. am I doing something wrong?

ElSid,
Symbolic integration is not yet implemented in SMath.

although symbolic integration is not implemented in SMath, you can try the Maple Wrapper:
