It would be nice when evaluating Beta versions of Smath to be able to have both the Beta and Stable versions installed concurrently on the same machine. Clearly, there would be problems when opening files created in the other version, but this is the same with most other software packages as well.

What do others think?

Hello,

Concerning Desktop Win version, I think there is only one "*Setup.msi" installation possible. On the other hand we can keep as many as we like *Portable.exe versions (portable - do not need installation) and run all of them. I have three or four different portable versions at the same time. This way is good for testing Stable and Beta versions on the same machine. I hope I am right.

Regards,
Radovan

I believe it would be possible for Andrey to design things in such a way that concurrent installations of different Win Desktop versions would be possible. However, it may be somewhat complex and, therefore, in Andrey's estimation, at this moment at least, not a good use of his limited time and, based on what you shared about using portable versions, completely unnecessary.

Using a portable standalone version in conjunction with another installed version works just fine. Thanks for the tip, Radovan!

You are welcome Will

Fortunately, the Portable versions are not to large.
