This refactored style is ~ 25 times faster than the very original.
The nested style does not ring a bell about specific use ?

It does work on my copy of 0.99.6622:

plot_g_random.PNG

Tried different locales - everything seems ok.
Random(..) function is from Statistical Tools plug-in. Please check if this plug-in available on your PC.

Best regards.

Please could you check what plug-in handles Random function in your case?
random_check_1.PNG

Also please try to test Random function... will it work in most usual scenarios on your environment?

Best regards.

Maybe YES, maybe NO ... maybe an undetected bug wrt your version,
though Andrey said/proved it works. If you visit "Samples", you
will find a huge "Random Utilities" [not more than a month old].

Sorry mon ami, the "Grand Doctors" is the next step.
"Random(,) not defined" does not mean error from the plugin,
rather it means the program does not recognize from incompatible code.

Not sure, but may be this is because of sort order of plug-ins or some additional plug-in which breaks the logic...

Please could you execute the following in command line? (path to SMathStudio_Desktop.exe may differ on your PC)
"C:\Program Files (x86)\SMath Studio\SMathStudio_Desktop.exe" -silent -info

I would like to see the output of this command in order to try to reproduce this on my environment.
